Nom nom nom cookies nom nom

Good morning, good lookin! I woke up feeling sprightly today, and I think it’s because it’s just 2 more days until novel #2 is released! Hoo-de-hoooo! I’m just a little bit excited.

I labored over this book for the past 4.5 months, and now I’m ready for you two to officially meet. She’s already left the nest and will be flying to your e-reader devices on Thursday. Feed her regurgitated worms and pre-order for your kindle here.

Anyways, as some of you know, I originally set the release date for July 20. As we got closer to the date, however, the book wasn’t quite ready, so I pushed the launch back a couple of weeks. I thought nothing of it, but I selected August 4 as the release date.

Now, many of you know that aside from being an author, I’m also the cookie monster. If we’ve met in person, then you know I haven’t exactly been shy about my true identity, but I don’t flaunt it. I’m not like “nom nom nom cooookies” on a daily basis, because then I’d have to pay Sesame Street royalties for borrowing my own signature phrase, and I don’t want to shell out that kind of cash. Ya feel me? I’d rather invest it in more cookies.

Anyways, as you know, we’ve come to celebrate many a-arbitrary holiday in recent years, and even though I don’t live in America these days I still recognize them from afar and occasionally celebrate, because what is the point of being an American if one is not going to partake in “national grab some nuts” day? There is no point. Also, that day’s tomorrow, so get those hands ready.

Again, this wasn’t planned, but can anyone guess what Thursday is? The day I chose to release my second novel, randomly, out of the calendar, the equivalent of spinning a globe and letting my finger pick one random spot out of 191 countries?

Yep – Thursday is “national chocolate chip cookie day,” the day dedicated to celebrating all things gooey, warm, crunchy on the outside and nearly undercooked on the inside. What a happy coincidence.
